Click the download link on this page, and then click Continue.
Select whether you want to register for the Windows Mobile newsletter, and then click Continue.
Click Download files below, and then click Download (next to the Setup.msi file).
In the File Download dialog box, click Run.
Follow the instructions in the Installation Wizard to install ActiveSync.
Note You must use a USB cable to connect your phone to your computer the first time you use ActiveSync to synchronize information.

ActiveSync 4.5 key updates
ActiveSync 4.5 now includes a troubleshooter tool that scans your computer and your phone to identify problems and offers information and corrective actions. If you use a Windows Mobile 5.0 phone with the Messaging and Security feature pack, ActiveSync 4.5 provides:
Direct Push technology
Local device wipe
Certificate-powered authentication to Microsoft Exchange Server
Information Rights Management (IRM)–protected e-mail
Note ActiveSync 4.5 does not support conversion of database or font files for use on a mobile phone. In previous versions, this feature was limited to devices running Windows Mobile software for Pocket PC 2003 and earlier.
